Our team successfully delivered a comprehensive site remediation and bulk earthworks package for the new Fishermans Bend Primary School development in Port Melbourne — a site previously impacted by decades of heavy industrial use. Delivered in partnership with Hutchinson Builders, a valued client with whom we’ve built a long-standing working relationship, this project involved the excavation and removal of over 25,000 tonnes of contaminated soil, marking it as one of the largest contamination clean-up operations in Melbourne at the time.
The works included the identification, classification, and safe handling of a range of hazardous materials, including asbestos, heavy metal-contaminated soil, and widespread hydrocarbon pollution. Our remediation strategy was developed and executed in close alignment with EPA Victoria guidelines and under the oversight of the project’s Environmental Auditors, ensuring strict compliance and environmental safety across every stage of delivery.
